How Medical Insurance Works
Our team at Healthy Sleep Tulsa will need to review your policy to best understand how your medical insurance plan works. The good news is that when it comes to coverage for sleep apnea, most companies follow a similar approach. In many cases, they provide coverage for sleep studies and sleep apnea treatment including CPAPs and oral appliances.
To get the most out of your plan, proper pre-authorization must be completed before starting treatment. You must also remember that you have an annual deductible you must meet before your insurance company agrees to pay more for the services you receive. As such, you’ll be required to pay a deductible when undergoing sleep apnea treatment. If you have a co-pay, you must pay a percentage or set price for the cost of the service you receive.
In-Network vs. Out-of-Network
We’re proud to say we’re currently in-network with several insurance companies! Our practice has contractual agreements with each one to ensure you pay the lowest price possible. At Healthy Sleep Tulsa, we don’t want you to break the bank to get the care you need. If you’re an out-of-network patient, our team will gladly file any necessary claims on your behalf and further explain your policy’s details.
Every patient is required to pay the entirety of any amounts they’re responsible for at the time services are rendered. This includes co-pays, co-insurance, and/or deductible amounts. Failing to provide current insurance information prior to services being rendered could result in denial of the claim. Although we’re more than happy to assist our patients in receiving reimbursement from their insurance company, it’s important to understand that the patient has the final responsibility for the bill.
