Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?
Dr. Ross jumped into the dental world as soon as she could. She started her career as a dental assistant before going to hygiene school and working as a hygienist for several years, and it all culminated with her deciding to start dental school. She always loved the idea of being a dentist and helping people in all the different areas of health that can be addressed by dentistry (like sleep apnea).
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Ross earned both her undergraduate and dental degrees from the University of Oklahoma, and she stayed there to complete her Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency. This focused on placing and restoring dental implants and refining her overall surgical skills. She has received extensive training in treating sleep apnea with oral appliances and is certified to perform laser lip/tongue-tie treatment for infants and adults. On top of this, she is an active member of the American Dental Association and Oklahoma Dental Association.
Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
When she isn’t working, Dr. Ross likes to spend the majority of her free time with her two children. To relax, you’ll usually find her reading, hiking, or playing pickleball.
