Originally from Oologah, Dr. Billie Reeder has well over three decades of experience in the field of dentistry. She understands through first-hand experience the positive impact proper sleep can have on a person’s life and self-esteem. That’s why she’s passionate and committed to delivering exceptional and customized treatments for our patients. Before starting your journey toward better overall health and rest, here’s a little more you can learn about her.
Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist who Specializes in Sleep?
When Dr. Reeder was a child, she was involved in an accident that resulted in her needing extensive dental work on one of her front teeth. Due to her regularly being around the dental setting, she grew a deeper interest in starting a career in the field. She eventually pursued further education in advanced treatment of sleep apnea in order to offer it as a part of her overall approach to improving patient's lives. Her additional training and comprehensive approach to treatment allows her to offer the best possible options to help her patients.
Where Did You Study Dentistry?
Dr. Reeder started her career in dentistry by attending Oklahoma State University and working part-time as a dental assistant. She then studied at a dental hygiene program at Oklahoma State University before applying to the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center for dental school. After graduating, she began a private practice in McAlester, OK, and worked there for two years until moving back to Collinsville and founding Healthy Smiles with Dr. Hare—her dental school classmate. In 2013, Dr. Reeder chose to further her dental education and to cover a broader scope o patient care. She joined Spear Education, a worldwide leader in dental training of advanced skills. It was in this environment where she explored the advanced treatment of sleep apnea and sleep disordered breathing.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?
At home, Dr. Reeder enjoys spending time with her husband and their daughter. They also have two dogs, Lily and Leroy, and a cat named Gabby. Other than hanging out with family and friends, she also likes traveling, visiting the lake, hiking on trails, working in the yard, and interior design!
